I am thoroughly grateful to the professional service and empathetic nature of Mr Malik. I suffer from Mallett toe in both feet, not to the extent that it affects me walking or gives me huge amounts of pain, but Mr Malik so far has provided alternative therapies to simply operating. My fear, as Mr Malik knows, is that the condition may get worse and he has been very kind thus far to follow my progress/situation, and assess further along the line. Operating may in the end be the only solution, but it would only be with Mr Malik for me!

I had surgery to straighten the claw toes on my right foot. They were broken, reset and pinned. All due to painful arthritis. I cannot say it has been completely painless, but definitely not as bad as I thought it would be. Personally I think that is down to the workmanship. Mr Malik put me at ease from the beginning. The visible scarring is minimal as scars go down the side of the toes. As soon as my pins were taken out of the right foot, I was given an appointment for October for my left foot to be done. Mr Malik doesn't believe in hanging about. Brilliant service. Brilliant surgeon. I have one nearly normal foot for now. Can't wait to have the next one done.

Excellent surgery for fractured elbow and post-op care and follow up with excellent communication

I have had excellent care from Mr Malik. I am a GP myself and it was quite frightening to be on the other side of the NHS when I accidentally fell off my bicycle and fractured my elbow in 2 places 2 weeks ago. It was Mr Malik and his team who looked after me with much efficiency and such promptness. I was explained every risk and complication prior to surgery. His great sense of humour and friendly nature made it easy to go through the ordeal. 2 weeks down the line he has done an amazing job and made my poorly arm better. It was only after my surgery did I realise he was actually a foot and ankle specialist. I think he is just a superb orthopaedic consultant for any orthopaedic ailments. I would definitely recommend him. Thankyou Mr Malik.

Right 1st MTP fusion, left revision 1st MTP joint fusion
Having had a left 1st MTP (big toe) fusion by another surgeon that had been unsuccessful, I was referred to Mr Malik. I have spent a year under his care having first my right 1st MTP joint fusion and then revision to the left big toe fusion. Throughout Mr Malik was professional and very caring. It was a long haul but I am now pain free, so it was well worth it.
