"It's a rare skill to be able to convey complex details of an operation in a simple and understanding way whilst making you feel at ease. To have a conversation like this while feeling like you are talking to your friend in the pub makes Mr Malik exceptional. When I phoned concerned about my cast late on a Friday evening and Mr Malik said "see you first thing tomorrow" what more could you ask for!! It was a pleasure to be a patient of such a professional and warm hearted consultant... And he even fixed my ankle!!"

"I was referred to Dr Malik by a work colleague and I have to say I was completely satisfied with the way he treated me from start to finish. What I was most satisfied with was that I was able to contact him on his personal mobile from the day I saw him all the way through to today where I am back and fully recovered. Having him on the end of the phone gave me complete assurances that I was on the right path and brushed away any doubts that I had post surgery. Another thing I have been impressed with is how clean my scar is. I have seen approx three different physiotherapists and they have all been impressed with the cleanliness and quality of the scar and this has left me with virtually hardly any scar tissue. I have no hesitation in recommending Mr Malik."

"Mr Malik was brilliant! He gave me two injections under general anaesthetic, very quick and easy. I am completely fixed! No pain in my ankle and I can walk normally. It's a brilliant procedure and I wouldn't hesitate to have it done again if I have to. Thank you."

"In January 2012 I broke the 5th metatarsal when I stumbled into a pot hole, A&E advised me it was a Jones fracture and would heal on its own, (but it did not). By July 2012 I had broken not only my 5th, but also 1st and 2nd metatarsals, when seen in A&E I was put in plaster and on crutches, I was later referred to Mr Malik. I saw him on the 3rd August and he said my foot was in a bit of a mess. He said that I needed an operation to repair the damage that would require bone grafts and pins and plates. This operation was done on 23rd August and all went well, I was in plaster and on crutches for approximately 6 weeks, followed by a walking boot, later that year I was out of pain and walking. December 2014 while out walking I felt a snap in my left foot again, an X-ray showed that I had indeed broken the 4th metatarsal and was referred back to Mr Malik, when he reviewed the X-ray he said that I had actually broken the 4th, and the 5th metatarsal again. February 2015 Mr Malik operated again to bone graft and plate the 5th metatarsal, and realign the 4th. when I was in the recovery room Mr Malik came to see me and advised me that I needed corrective surgery to stop this occurring again due to my foot shape. Following the operation I was in plaster and back on crutches for several weeks followed by a walking boot. August 2015 the corrective surgery was undertaken, this involved the breaking of several bones, pinning and plating, all went fantastically well. I was in plaster and back on crutches for a few weeks followed by a walking boot. I was soon up and walking with no crutches or boot. All the different surgery undertaken by Mr Malik went fantastically well, and I cannot thank him enough, he is a great surgeon who put me at ease and had the time to reassure me that all would be ok. Thanking you again"

"Right from the very first time meeting Mr Malik, he helped me understand the extent and significance of my ankle injury, clearly indicating what treatment would be needed and more importantly what I could do to minimise the recuperation period. My ankle injury was further complicated by intense marrow oedema of the talus, requiring zero weight bearing for 8 weeks. Despite my obvious despondency, Mr Malik talked with me in a very professional yet friendly manner which put me at ease and left me with a peace of mind of what needed to be done and could be done if I stuck to my part of the recuperation. I am a very athletic person, so being on crutches for 5 months was not something I found easy to deal with, Mr Malik helped me understand the importance of the part I could play. He was extremely easy to talk to and conversed in a language I could understand. I have now been discharged and I am able to walk without the aid of crutches or ankle brace. I have confidence that with some assistance from a physiotherapist, I will be running again and doing what I love the most. I am extremely thankful for the expert advice, direction and help that Mr Malik gave me. Warren Kencroft"
