"Having originally been misdiagnosed with ruptured ligaments when I turned my ankle on a kerb (leaving my doctor's surgery for something unrelated!), I was referred to Mr Malik by my NHS physiotherapist. His team discovered I had actually broken the talonavicular joint on the top of my right foot nine months previously. As the damage to the cartilage was now causing arthritis, I was offered a choice: an operation to pin the bones together (which would put me out of action for up to 3 months), or to try a non operative regime of a glucosamine sulphate supplement together with a stepped insole. I opted for the latter, and three months later I have thrown away the stick and painkillers, and can walk 75% normally again, play some golf and walk the dog for an hour each day. Perhaps sometime in the future I may need Mr Malik's surgery skills as the arthritis takes it toll, but for now I can enjoy a normal life without the pain I suffered for those nine long months. Thank you to and him and everyone at Wycombe Hospital."

"I first met Mr Malik a year ago with my condition. I found him to be professional, caring and extremely positive about my forthcoming operation. I had complete trust in him and he informed me that my foot would be fine for my son's wedding in April. He was true to his word and my foot has healed perfectly. I cannot thank him enough and would have no hesitation in recommending him. You are indeed in very safe hands!"

"Having suffered from very bad bunions since my teen years and having a morbid fear of surgery, time and time again I have postponed seeking any sort of solution to the continuous pain I have experienced over the years, until it so badly affected my quality of life that I had to bite the bullet and seek professional assistance, Mr Malik was highly recommended as the person to see for any sort of surgical intervention to correct my poor old bunions. He explained clearly exactly how he could help me, what the surgery involved, what I needed to do to prepare for surgery and what improvement I could expect after surgery. Having being reassured and feeling great confidence in his professionalism and approachable personality, in August last year I had a fusion performed. It was a great success and my recovery was problem free. I am now looking forward to having the bunion on my other foot "sorted" this coming summer!"

"I met Mr Malik for the very first time in September 2014, having finally decided to do something about bunions that I had been suffering from for most of my 64-year long life. The meeting didn’t bring exactly what I naively had been hoping for – my expected miracle cure was not on offer. On offer was professional information and advice, spoken in a language an ordinary person could understand. Due to the state of my feet Mr Malik made it clear it was not going to be easy. He never tried to pull the wool over my eyes. Having gone ahead with the operation and now being on the other side I can only say I am extremely grateful to Mr Malik. He is not only a very skilful surgeon but caring, warm and down-to-earth, with an excellent sense of humour! Mr Malik is always approachable, responds very quickly to calls and emails and helps out with enquiries/requests far beyond his call of duty. I really can’t thank him enough."

"On 15 Jan 2010, while cleaning my fish tank, I slipped and fell off the steps, hurting my left ankle. I was unaware just how serious the injury was. I was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital. Not only had I badly broken my ankle, the ligaments and tendons had been injured as well. I came under the care of Mr Malik in Oct 2012. He immediately put me at ease. Unfortunately a lot of arthritis had developed in my ankle since the break. After a trial of non operative management in December 2013, I had an Ankle Fusion operation. I feel so privileged to be a patient of Mr Malik with the knowledge he will do his very best to help me. Over these past years I feel that Mr Malik and I have formed a good rapport, I have confidence in his professionalism, and admire his approach to people as people, not just as another patient. Mr Malik is always available if there are any doubts, to put one's mind at rest. Mr Ahmad Malik is a truly delightful man and outstanding surgeon.
Thank you so very much Mr Malik.
